Built for twitch streamers and live creators

PandaStudio for Twitch streamers and VOD editors

Turn your VOD into YouTube uploads, Shorts, and TikTok clips — without losing your weekend.

The problem

You're a Twitch streamer with hours of VOD per week. The audience is on Twitch live but the YouTube + TikTok + Shorts opportunity is bigger than your stream. Editing 6 hours of VOD into a single 12-minute YouTube upload + ten 60-second clips is not realistic without a tool that does most of the cuts for you. Manual editing eats your stream prep time; per-seat cloud editors don't fit a one-creator budget.

How PandaStudio fits

PandaStudio's VOD-repurposing workflow is built for this exact loop. Import the VOD, AI Shorts identifies the most clip-worthy moments automatically (laughs, callouts, big reactions), generates captioned vertical clips ready to publish. Long-form: transcript-edit out the dead air, AI chapters from transcript, motion-graphic intro, export. One project, dozens of pieces of distributable content.

A typical workflow

  1. 1

    1. Import the VOD

Drag the OBS / Twitch download into PandaStudio. Hour-long+ files supported natively.

  2. 2

    2. Run AI Shorts

From the Export Library, click AI Shorts. Identifies clip-worthy 30-90s segments — big plays, funny moments, callouts. Generates vertical (9:16) clips with captions and motion-graphic titles.

  3. 3

    3. Trim long-form for YouTube

Use transcript-edit to cut dead air and slow segments. Add chapter markers from AI-generated transcript chapters.

  4. 4

    4. Add intro / outro / lower thirds

Title card with stream date, lower-thirds for guest names, end-screen card with subscribe CTA — all from the motion-graphic library.

  5. 5

    5. Multi-format export

Export YouTube version (16:9 long-form), Shorts/Reels/TikTok (9:16 clips), even square loops for Twitter — same project.

Features that matter most

  • Native long-form performance — multi-hour VODs edit smoothly
  • AI Shorts: auto-identify clip-worthy moments and export as captioned vertical clips
  • Transcript-driven editing for fast dead-air removal across hours of content
  • AI-generated chapter timestamps from transcript (perfect for long YouTube uploads)
  • Caption auto-generation with eight bundled styles
  • Motion-graphic title cards, lower-thirds, end-screen CTAs
  • Same project to multiple aspect ratios (16:9 + 9:16 + 1:1)
  • Local-first: VODs don't upload to a third-party cloud

Frequently asked questions

How does AI Shorts pick which moments to clip?

It analyzes the transcript and audio for energy peaks (big reactions, laughs, sudden volume changes), explicit callouts, and natural rhythm — then generates 30-90 second clip suggestions you can preview, edit, and export. The default model is conservative; you can tune the threshold or use the agent surface to give it custom prompt criteria.

Can I import a VOD that's 6+ hours long?

Yes. PandaStudio handles long-form natively — the Tier-3 PixiJS exporter streams frames rather than loading the whole video into memory. Practical limit is your disk space for the source file. Transcription is the slowest step; expect ~1 minute per hour of source on Apple Silicon.

Does PandaStudio integrate with OBS?

Indirectly. OBS records to MP4 / MKV files; drop those into PandaStudio's Home → Import video card. The MP4 reads cleanly; for MKV you may need to remux to MP4 first (one ffmpeg command). PandaStudio doesn't replace OBS for live streaming — they compose.

What about copyrighted music in stream VODs?

PandaStudio doesn't auto-strip licensed music — that's not a thing it knows about. For YouTube uploads, you'll want to mute or replace any copyrighted music sections manually. The trim region kind makes this easy: drop a trim over the music, the audio mutes for that span.
