Roadmap

What we're building next for WritePanda Studio. Order is rough — we shift based on what you tell us. Want to weigh in or suggest something else? Drop us a note.

Lower thirds generator

Planned

Templated animated name + title overlays you can drop onto any clip. Pick a style, type your name and role, and it animates in and out at the right time.

Why it matters: Tutorial creators, podcasters, and interviewers introduce people on camera all the time. Today this means manually animating text — we want it to be a single click.

LUT color grading

Planned

Drop a .cube LUT file (or pick from a built-in pack) and apply a cinematic color grade across the whole timeline or a single clip. GPU-accelerated, no render hit.

Why it matters: Color grading is the fastest way to make screen recordings and webcam footage feel less amateur. Pro creators already have LUT collections — we should let them use them.

Background music with auto-ducking

Planned

Add a music track that automatically lowers its volume when you start speaking and rises back up when you stop. No manual keyframing required.

Why it matters: Background music makes videos feel polished, but balancing it against speech is fiddly. Auto-ducking removes the only annoying part.

VibeVoice voice generation

Exploring

Local voice synthesis powered by Microsoft's open-source VibeVoice model. Generate natural-sounding voiceovers from text, including long-form narration with consistent voice across multiple speakers.

Why it matters: Lets creators add narration without re-recording, fix flubs by typing the correction, or generate an entire voiceover from a script — all on-device, no cloud TTS subscription.

Speech super-resolution

Planned

Restore muddy, low-bitrate, or compressed voice recordings to studio quality. Distinct from noise removal — this rebuilds the voice itself, not just removes background noise.

Why it matters: Even a great mic struggles in a bad room. This turns 'usable' audio into 'sounds like a podcast', especially for content recorded on laptop mics or in untreated spaces.

One-click YouTube publish

Planned

After export, push directly to YouTube with the AI-generated title, description, chapters, and tags pre-filled. Schedule the upload or publish immediately.

Why it matters: We already generate metadata locally — the missing step is the upload itself. Closing this loop means going from raw recording to published video without leaving the app.

This list is a snapshot, not a contract. Things move up, down, and occasionally off based on what users ask for. The fastest way to influence it is to send us feedback.
